Educational visits are arranged to enrich the children’s educational experience.
Extensive use is made of London’s many educational venues. Children have recently visited London Zoo, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Discovery Centre and Waterman’s Theatre. Visits to museums and expeditions to other places of interest are arranged each term. Ordinarily no charge is made for these activities.
Educational visits often reinforce and enable a greater understanding of the learning within the normal school environment. Frequently these experiences stay with the children for a long time after the visit.
Occasional visits to the school for educational purposes are made by local services such as the fire brigade and police. Other professionals, such as doctors and dentists, also come into the school to share their knowledge and expertise with the children.
